In 2016, the H-2B visa issue has affected Guam and many industries most especially construction. Various efforts have been made to discuss the denial rates and labor issues with the local and federal government agencies including the Secretary of State, Department of the Interior, Department of Homeland Security, Armed Forces, and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
